CANYON MOUNTAIN STUDIO

Canyon Mountain Studio is an award winning professional recording studio located in Eastern Oregon, featuring the best of both vintage analog and digital instruments and tools. Music is our passion, and we focus on making a big sound in an intimate setting.
This is a destination .
  • Back in college, (1985+) I joined my first band. Practicing in tiny rooms or cold storage sheds, I longed for a comfortable place to play, create, record, and just listen to good music. I struggled with 4 and 8 track multi-track cassette recorders and early digital tape. I learned a lot from my struggles. I have embraced the evolution of technology. I love the digital technology but now value the balance of digital editing while striving to preserve the warmth and essence of a session.

  • With hundreds of hours as a performer I understand what a performing artists wants and needs.

  • Whether live or in the studio I endeavor to provide an environment for creativity.

  • With it's main purpose being Performance, the heart of Canyon Mountain Studio is a PreSonus StudioLive 32.4.2 AI-series mixer and the PreSonus Studio One 3 Pro DAW that captures the essence of the moment. The Live Room is equipped to handle 24 inputs, with a simultaneous additional 4 in the Iso room and 4 in the Control Room. This allows maximum flexibility for isolating loud amps, or quiet vocals, or simply providing comfortable places to add tracks.
